Scrappin weekend ....... with Miss Keely :)

Well I had a very busy scrappy weekend, Keely wanted to escape her brother and sisters for a while and venture into my scrappy world. We went out to DISCOVER SCRAPBOOKING and enjoyed a fabulous class by Jill Geraghty-Groves (fantastic lady) we did some distressing and stitching and inking and painting and had a ball. Must say Keely is hooked big time on the scrapbooking bug. Anyhoo, I completed this layout at the class. Haven't got any pics of my grandparents, so thought this was a fabulous find, Mum, Pop & Nanna Parsons, and all 7 of us kids, amazingly fairly clear after all these years (given this is a scan of a tiny original photo) think it was around 1973.

We then came home, and Keely whipped out her album and we sat and did a page together for her book. This is what we came up with (inspired by our class that day lol) We cut out these gorgeous flowers and popped them all up off the page, and oh those gorgeous flowers, I'm finding it harder and harder to share these with anyone but these are the ever gorgeous batik flowers from Green Tara that Robyn needs to order many more of for me :) LOL LOL LOL I'm totally addicted to them!

Then of course I felt the urge to sit down and scrap a page of Keely for my own album, I love her big blue eyes so love big piccies of her with them enormous peepers lol

Here is what I came up with. Just a dash of hand cutting on this page lol, wee bit of distressing, silver ink (glorious invention)

Now if only I can make it through the week........ come on Friday it's CROP NIGHT woohooooooo if you are in the area and want to come to one of these fabulous crop nights (fortnightly), ring ahead and book a spot, $10pp can't get better than that, we have so much fun there too :)

My gorgeous birthday gift .....

My dear sweet friend, Martina sent me the most amazing birthday present, a totally gorgeous kit for a Kaiser Off the Page Project, the papers are to die for, I sooooooo love these colours. I sat down last night and today and put this one together, sorry guys n gals, NO SVG'S in this project :( They are coming again soon though lol lol

Anyhooo, I chose to do this album for Amy as she is our lil gingernut girl so thought her colourings would work better with the papers. I think it turned out quite well.... here we go now....

This is the front cover off the book, so totally in lurve with all these fabulous Kaiser products.... good thing I just bought a heap of their gorgeous stamps.

And yet more Kaiser stamps, with some fabulous flowers peeking out underneath, they are pastel batik flowers from Green Tara. The rubons are from packs of Creative Cafe stacks of rubons, they're a lil bit expensive to buy as they are in a booklet form, but boy oh boy, do you get a tonne of rubons in them .... definately a SMART BUY in my books!

I just love all these gorgeous butterflies (as does Amy) there is something about butterflies huh!

Yup, definately loving these flowers, must buy MORE!!! lol

This is yet another of the Kaiser stamps, my other love.... flourishes. This is the back of the book, I didn't want to put too much on there, as, well, it's the end!!!! lol

Anyhoo, time to head on off to bed, this lil black duckie is exhausted, it's been a humongous weekend and this chick needs some shut eye .... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Night all, hope you are all keeping well and happy crafting to you :) Cheers Kris xo
